Keyless Entry Key Fob Remote Housing #1 Stack Mold
This keyless entry remote housing for GM vehicles is an excellent
example of the benefits of stack molding. Stack molds allow large volumes of
multiple parts to be produced at the same time, the front and back pieces of
this key fob for example.
Injection Molded Car Key Fob Remote
Our craftsmen built an 8+8 stack mold (8 cavities in each part) for this
2-part auto keyless entry key fob remote. Features of this mold include:
- Engineered to operate 2 parting lines to manufacture both sides at one
time
- Molds required movable slides; top and bottom part needed to flex to allow for undercuts for parts to eject from molds properly
Benefits of the Stack Molding Process
A few of the benefits of stack molding include:
- Saves time and money by producing multiple parts simultaneously
- Reduces manufacturing processes and waste
- Allows for the easy production changes using interchangeable
mold
inserts
