Power Distribution Box Molds
This mid-size SUV power
distribution box assembly consisted of five separately
molded parts.
- We constructed custom molds for each part, each with its own
individual specifications
and internal components
- A variety of plastic compounds were used, depending on the function of the part

- Front cover laser engraved with diagram showing location, function and amperage of each fuse
- Back cover has very large core in the center of part for water lines placement
- Upper housing is molded with a high-flow grade of Noryl, a material formulated especially for parts of
this nature so the material will flow and fill the very thin ribs
- Lower housing has many intricate shutoffs on the ends that form unique, uncommon latches that snap onto
upper housing in its full assembly
- Isolator plate mold has a sub-gate in a very shallow boss that was added just for
gating
